Description from the seller
“FACE TO THE RUINS OF VEGA” – ULTRA LIMITED ART EDITION (10 COPIES)
Artist: SKE
Dive into the galactic post-war era with Face aux Ruines de Véga, a powerful creation signed SKE. This piece pays homage to the mythical universe of Goldorak by adopting the iconic aesthetic of late 1970s Japanese animation posters: heroic low-angle composition, striking Katakana typography, slightly patinated colors, and a subtly aged texture recalling the original posters from 1978.
SKE captures here a suspended moment after the chaos. At the heart of a devastated landscape, Goldorak stands, imposing and victorious, towering over the smoking wreckage of Vega’s machines. The robot’s vastness contrasts with human fragility: in the foreground, Actarus (Duke Fleed), standing before the debris, gazes at the ravages of war. The battle is over… but the weight of sacrifice remains.
The monumental wrecks, shredded hulls, and the twilight light compose a post-apocalyptic scene charged with emotion. More than a victory, SKE stages reconstruction. Peace has a price.
A work that fuses shōnen heroism, television nostalgia, vintage Japanese aesthetics, and a contemporary pop art perspective.

- ARTIST BIO:
SKE is a self-taught French artist with a broad range of interests who grew up with 80s/90s culture, inspiring most of his artistic work.
He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stenciling, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic, expressive compositions, often with double meaning, fuse the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.
After an exceptional 2025, SKE’s value has risen notably. Winner of the first prize at Urban Master (2023), later named Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025).
SKE was selected as “Artist of the Month” by the Opulence gallery in October, and he also received publication in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition.
His works have already been exhibited in major venues across Europe, the United States, and Asia, cementing his place on the contemporary art scene. In parallel, SKE also makes his mark in the digital art market, a major trend in recent years, enhancing the appeal of his creations to collectors.
Icons of popular culture, bold graphics, and texture play characterize a style now essential.
SKE is undoubtedly an artist to watch, to start or enrich a collection with growing value.
Awarded & Renowned Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art
AN INTERSECTION OF HERITAGE AND MODERNITY SKE’s work sits within a prestigious lineage. His line shows the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating the subversion of Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His pieces bridge eras: revisiting classics, not hesitating to alter Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to confront a modern urban aesthetic akin to Mr Brainwash or Kaws.
POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing from collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons from our childhood. He stages the Disney universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and the symbolic greed of Scrooge McDuck. The influence of gaming, comics, and graphic novels is omnipresent: from the Nintendo universe and the legendary Game Boy, to Pokemon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), through Marvel superheroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami.
LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style sometimes reminiscent of Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits beside luxury and fashion logos. His canvases capture the “Hype” aesthetic: sneakers (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and high fashion (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also integrates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to forget mass consumer icons like Coca-Cola. It’s vibrant art, with textured finishes evoking the glossy surface of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski.
This work is ideal for enriching a collection or adding a dynamic touch to your interior.
