Description from the seller
The Pioneer PL-X50 is a front‑loading automatic turntable with belt drive, produced in Japan in 1981; it is capable of playing records at two speeds: 33 and 45 rpm and is also equipped with a repeat button. The front panel opens manually, while the platter comes out automatically, just as the tonearm is positioned automatically to play the music once the disc is inserted.
Thanks to its compact dimensions, the PL X 50 is a compact turntable well suited even to the smallest spaces. The motor of the SH rotor-system is used as the drive motor; the MC cartridge is high-output and does not require a transformer or a step-up amplifier but can be connected directly to a MM phono input. All buttons are concentrated on the front upper-left, improving operability.
This unit has been completely serviced and is in excellent technical condition.
It is an original Japanese product functioning at 100V. An external transformer is provided so it can be connected to European 230V mains.
New Audio-Technica stylus mounted.
