Fontodi Chianti Classico Reserve "Vigna del Sorbo" of the 2004 vintage.
Produced by the Fontodi farm in Panzano in Chianti, this wine is one of the most prestigious expressions in the area. The 2004 vintage is classified as Reserve, although since the 2010 vintage the Vigna del Sorbo has become a Chianti Classico Gran Selezione, the highest quality category of the denomination.
Main Features
Grape variety: Composed mainly or entirely of Sangiovese grapes from the homonymous vineyard.
Organoleptic Profile: It is described as a full-bodied and intense wine, with aromas of ripe red fruit, spices, tobacco and floral notes of violet.
Vinification: It usually matures in barriques for about 24 months, acquiring complexity and an elegant tannic structure.
Pairings: It goes perfectly with structured dishes such as red meat, game and aged cheeses.
