Console table - Wood, Marble

This sumptuous console from the mid-19th century (1850/1870) perfectly embodies the elegance of neobaroque taste, presenting itself as a magnetic and highly prestigious piece of furniture. The finely carved and gilded wooden frame features a rich rocaille decoration, with volutes and shell motifs creating a dynamic play of solids and voids along the apron. The top, made of precious shaped marble, crowns the base, supported by sinuous cabriole legs that give forward momentum and refinement to the overall piece.

Conditions:
Good condition, while preserving intact its extraordinary antique charm, shows the typical and authentic signs of age that bear witness to its centuries-old history. The structure and gilding show some losses and superficial cracks, as well as small structural and decorative defects that are part of an original piece from this period. Such imperfections, to be considered natural for a mid-19th-century piece, do not prejudice its elegance but emphasize its originality and historical character.
