Polished Gabbro Bowl – Madagascar
Celestial Plagioclase & Black Olivine
A striking hand-polished bowl carved from natural gabbro sourced in Madagascar, selected for its intense contrast and richly crystalline structure.
The stone features a deep charcoal to jet-black olivine matrix dramatically interwoven with pale lilac to soft grey plagioclase. Across both the interior and exterior surfaces, irregular crystalline formations and metallic inclusions create a dynamic, almost cosmic pattern, reminiscent of a nebula captured in mineral form. Subtle silvery flashes and muted mauve tones emerge under direct light, enhancing the depth and visual complexity of the material.
The interior cavity is smoothly sculpted and highly polished, allowing the crystalline textures to flow concentrically toward the center. The glossy finish intensifies the contrast between the lighter feldspar areas and the darker mineral groundmass, revealing fine natural veining and structural details.
