Napoléon III liquor cabinet - marquetry – 19th century - 4 decanters - 16 glasses
Elegant French liquor cabinet dating from the late 19th century, Napoléon III era.
This salon cabinet is made of veneered wood, ornate with refined floral marquetry depicting a flowering vase, framed by light-toned fillets. The base and the top are in blackened wood, typical of decorative production of that period.
The cabinet opens to reveal an interior arranged with four glass decanters and sixteen matching glasses, with gilded rims.
The glassware is later but well suited to the compartments, homogeneous and aesthetically coherent with the whole.
A decorative and collectible piece, representative of late 19th-century salon liquor cabinets, appreciated for both its elegance and its craftsmanship.
Good overall condition considering age.
Light traces of use and wear consistent with an antique object.
Solid structure, marquetry well preserved.
Glassware complete, not original.
