Technical Characteristics
Manufacturer: Ernst Paul Lehmann, Brandenburg, Germany.
Production period: Produced mainly between 1924 and 1935 (some sources indicate variants up to 1938).
Materials: Tinplate steel coated with tin (tinplate), lithographed with bright color lithography.
Mechanism: Manual wind-up (clockwork) engine with a built-in fixed or removable key.
Dimensions: Length about 18-19 cm, height about 11-14 cm.
Variants: Model 752 was also marketed under the names "Dare Devil" or "Na-Nu", showing slight differences in colors or the character.
Historical-Artistic Description
The toy depicts a two-wheeled cart drawn by a zebra (inspired by early 20th-century zebroid crossing experiments) and driven by a driver with a pointed hat badge. It represents the apex of Lehmann’s production, known for exporting nearly 90% of its toys worldwide before World War II.
Perfect, complete with original box and a functioning mechanism that just needs checking for smoother operation.
