Tabimado (Travel Window) 旅窓, signed first edition hardcover photography collection by Kinsuke Shimada, published in 1960 by Asahi Shimbun, 120 pages in Japanese (original language), with dust jacket and slipcase.

A rare and beautifully signed title by the Japanese photographer Kinsuke Shimada. Contains many striking black and white and colour images, very well printed.
Condition: hardcover, firm binding, interior clean, no foxing, no markings, no creased pages, with complete dustjacket, no tears and slipcase (sunning and signs of rubbing), overall very good condition with some minor signs of handling. Size 340*265*30
Travel Window, a collection of photographs by Japanese photographer Shimada Kinsuke, born in Nagano Prefecture in 1900, moved to Tokyo in 1920 after graduating from junior high school and joined the Asahi Shimbun newspaper to become a news photographer. This book is his second photographic collection, published in 1960. It contains poetic works in black-and-white and colour from his travels throughout Japan. The binding is by Ryuichi Yamashiro, who was also in charge of one of Yasuhiro Ishimoto's books.
