Description from the seller
Steel Service Cart with Brass Details and Glass Shelves
Italian Manufacture, Dating from the Late 1950s
The supporting framework, realized in black glossy-painted metal, is characterized by modernist morphology, and by curved legs that make it particularly versatile and eclectic.
Articulated on two levels, it has the Upper and Lower planes in glass, which provide brightness and transparency; both are machined with beveled edges and hand-smoothed.
Details such as the nuts supporting the structure, and their corresponding washers, are brass; the rest of the details are made of metal, including the fake brass profile that delineates the entire form.
The wheels are made of metal and 360° swivel, allowing easy movement even on particularly delicate surfaces.
Coming from a noble residence, it was part of furnishings for rooms intended for guests.
Rarely used, it presents in excellent condition, with no scratches, missing parts or else and is perfectly functional.
As photographed, the wheels show slight signs of wear to the paint and not to the rubber, in keeping with the age of manufacture, given that these are the components most exposed to normal wear.
The above specifications do not compromise normal use.
Comparisons with identical contemporary specimens in morphology and components used would lead one to hypothesize that this object was made by Rama Torino, a leading company in the sector operating in Italy since just after the war.
Proportioned in form, elegant, balanced and versatile, today it could easily be used to enhance any type of environment.
To guarantee the object’s integrity, during transport it will be shipped disassembled into its essential components and carefully packaged.
