Space Age Adjustable Ashtray – 60s/70s
Rare Space Age-design desk ashtray, featuring the famous flexible stem ("gooseneck") in chromed steel. The structure comprises a circular base and an ogive-shaped metal container in electric blue lacquer. The top part features a chromed insert with a snap opening to hold the cigarette butts and minimize odors.
Although often unbranded, these models can be linked to late-1960s European production, particularly in the style of Eichhoff Werke (Germany) or Italian mid-century modern manufactories. It is an iconic piece of the Pop Art period.
