Description from the seller

The painting, 90 cm high by 60 cm wide, presents itself as an imposing work of contemporary art created with over 4,000 colored 10 mm dice.
Artist Jacon Art transcends his own stylistic signature by reinterpreting the iconic figure of Tony Montana, protagonist of the film Scarface, transforming it into a powerful, three-dimensional composition.
The work is constructed through a meticulous arrangement of perfectly aligned micro-dice on a rigid support structure. Each die, with its engraved numbered faces, becomes a single "pictorial unit" that, when viewed from afar, merges into an extremely defined portrait; up close, however, it reveals the technical complexity and almost obsessive precision of the compositional process.
The color palette is designed to create depth and drama:
Deep purple and plum shades create the shadows of the face.
Shades of red, orange, and yellow shape the highlighted areas, sculpting the cheekbones, forehead, and jawline.
Darker contrasts outline the penetrating gaze and stern expression, the character's iconic signature.
The visual effect is striking: the surface is not flat like a traditional canvas, but vibrates thanks to the reliefs of the cubes, which capture the light, creating dynamic micro-shadows.
This gives the work a sculptural three-dimensionality while maintaining the grammar of a two-dimensional portrait.
The intensity of Tony Montana's gaze emerges forcefully: the marked eyebrows, the tense eyes, the tight line of the lips.
The composition manages to convey power, ambition, and drama—central elements of the character—through a contemporary and unconventional visual language.
With this reinterpretation, Jacon Art transcends the simple mosaic technique and transforms the die—a universal symbol of risk and destiny—into a narrative metaphor: Tony Montana's life, marked by chance and excess, is told through the very object that best represents gambling and fate.
The result is a work that blends pop culture and conceptual art, portraiture tradition and material experimentation, establishing itself as a distinctive piece in the contemporary art scene.
