Description from the seller
Handmade – Anno 81” – 68 cm – Original Lampshade – 4 kg – Studio Keramiek
An impressive and sculptural handmade ceramic table lamp, branded “Handarbeit – Anno 81”, indicating artisanal manufacture and dating around 1981.
With a total height of 68 cm and a ceramic base of 39 cm, this is not a standard table lamp, but a pronounced statement piece that has a strong presence both functionally and decoratively in any interior.
Color Play & Decorative Details
This lamp distinguishes itself with its harmonious yet powerful color contrasts:
Warm light gray to sandy-colored base
Deep and intense cobalt blue glaze
Glossy decoration against a matte base
Geometric diamond panels in relief
Medallion-shaped ornaments
Stylized wing or leaf motifs
Decoratively worked neck with circular structures
The relief is clearly tactile and creates a beautiful play of shadows when the lamp is lit. The blue deepens with incident light, giving the whole piece extra depth and character.
The ceramic base alone (39 cm tall) has a strong sculptural character.
