Description from the seller
Alfa Romeo Giulia by Lorenzo Ardizio. Published by HEEL Verlag GmbH 2012. Hardcover with dust jacket. German-language. Pages 127.
For many, the Giulia is the Alfa above all. Surely the foremother of all family-friendly sports sedans has long been legendary and is undoubtedly one of the most important chapters in the brand's history. Once set out to replace the allegedly irreplaceable Giulietta, it was supposed to far surpass its great success. In the press comments on the day after the 1962 presentation, the most common word was "new." The completely new, aerodynamically astonishingly efficient design was initially received with skepticism. Doubts soon gave way to wholehearted sympathy, and that has not changed to this day. The de-bunked counter-proof of the rumor that four-door cars are per se uncool and four-cylinders sound hardly punchy enough continues to be immensely popular. Therefore this book, with its wonderfully illustrated model history, also contains a small buying guide.
