Italian sideboard in walnut – Luigi Filippo style, late 19th / early 20th century
Description
Elegant Italian two-door sideboard with upper drawers, made between the end of the 19th century and the early decades of the 20th century.
The furniture is attributed to the Luigi Filippo / sober Umbertine style, characterized by clean and balanced lines, shaped panels on the doors, and harmonious proportions.
The structure is solid and well preserved, originally designed for a dining room or living room.
The sideboard features:
Two upper drawers
Two hinged doors with shaped panels
Original locks, one with key and decorative rosette
Back in solid wood planks, typical of the period
The original patina is present and undisturbed by recent restorations.
Conditions
Good overall condition.
Normal signs of time are present (abrasions, slight discoloration on the sides and back), consistent with the furniture’s age.
Structurally stable. Not recently restored.
