Sovereign of the Seas – Large and Very Detailed Model Ship – about 102 cm
This impressive model of the Sovereign of the Seas (circa 1637) is a true showpiece for any maritime collector. With a length of over 100 cm and an exceptionally high level of detail, it belongs to the more exclusive models of this iconic 17th-century warship.
This model is exceptional in this size, quality, and detailing. An example of this build quality is rarely offered. The finish, ornaments, and rigging clearly reflect the work of an advanced builder who performs the craft very professionally.
The model is based on the historic Sovereign of the Seas, the extravagantly decorated flagship of the English fleet. The real ship, built in 1637, was known as one of the most expensive and most luxurious warships ever built.
Due to its size and fragility, the item must be picked up in Weert, Netherlands.
