Description from the seller
A very rare photobook with the title "Tenchi Muyo" from the Japanese photographer Hide Shinzo, especially as a signed copy!
Hide Shinzo, a documentary photographer who depicted the changes in Japan's social and industrial structure after the war and their reality. He has carefully covered the behind-the-scenes social issues that have come to light with Japan's economic growth, such as rural areas and agriculture, small factories and manufacturing, pollution, depopulation, education, people with disabilities, female workers, and children.
This book traces the trajectory of his activities from the 1960s to the early 1980s. The title "Tenchi Muyo" was taken from a comment posted at the venue of his solo exhibition in 1974, and reflects the photographer's strong will that "nature must not be upset."
Condition: fine, with dustjacket and original acetat cover, outside a little stained, inside no foxing, no markings.
