AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Monumental Art Deco mantel clock with an 8-day movement in a zamak case resting on a heavy multicolored marble base. In the Limousin style but unmarked.

The large door-shaped case on both sides ending in a horn of plenty. Between them the round clock with enamelled dial and Roman numeral markings in a gilded bronze ring. Two winding holes for the 8-day movement.

In front of the case an ornament of a reclining woman with a bird. The bird has a defect on the right wing. I only noticed it while photographing.

Clockwork: needs to be checked because it stops running after a few hours and the hammer that should strike the bell does not hit it. I suspect the movement has shifted a bit in the case and is thus out of balance.

Includes key and pendulum.
