A large circular Chinese porcelain bowl from the Qing Dynasty (Qianlong period, ca. 1750), export Capucin style, with a brown glaze outside and a central bouquet with four polylobed floral medallions in Famille Rose enamel; dimensions 17 cm wide, 7.5 cm high and deep, weight 457 g, provenance Galerie/Antiquaire, in good condition with minor wear and a small hairline crack, no restorations apparent.

Style: export porcelain of the “Capucin” type.
Description:
Remarkable large circular bowl in Chinese porcelain. The exterior is covered with a brown-lustrous glaze characteristic of productions intended for the European market in the mid-18th century.
The decoration consists of four polylobed floral medallions in reserve, finely painted with Famille Rose enamels, depicting chrysanthemums and peonies. The interior is adorned at the center with a matching floral bouquet and a red iron lattice frieze highlighted with flowers along the inner rim.
Condition:
Structure: Good overall condition, lovely gloss of the glaze.
Flaws: A slight crack should be noted (see photos), as well as minor enamel wear and small edge nicks (fritting), usual for a piece of this period.
Restoration: No apparent restoration.
