Description from the seller
These pearls were found in West Africa and were used as barter and a medium of exchange. This necklace consists of beads made of white agate, a semiprecious stone. The triangular pearls are probably made in Europe for the 17th century and imported as trade beads. The other pearls may date from the 12th - 16th century.
Very homogeneous necklace with all high-quality pearls.
