Important wall mirror of historic character, made in carved and stuccoed wood, with water gilding, following decorative models of Baroque tradition. The piece features an elegant vertical format, topped by a richly carved apical crest with scrolls and symmetrical vegetal motifs, a distinctive element of representation mirrors inspired by late Baroque.
The frame is lavishly worked, with deep molding and projecting elements around its perimeter, designed to enhance the play of light on the gilding. The quality of the carving and the harmony of the whole recall historicist productions of the 19th century, made according to classical canons and intended for prestigious interiors.
