Specimen: gold nugget from the Tiris Zemmour region in Mauritania, weighing 0.244 g, one item.
Description from the seller
Discovery Zone
23°33’ North
08°06’ West
This nugget comes from the desert region of Tiris Zemmour in northern Mauritania, more than a hundred kilometers from an area called Guelb Ndour.
Gold mining in this country was previously reserved for a large industrial company. But since 2016 individual mining is allowed using metal detectors.
I offer them as I discovered them; I have only cleaned them with soap and water.
The gold from this region is fairly pure; generally its purity ranges from about 950 to 980 fines, which corresponds to 22.80 to 23.50 carats.
Although gold mining has become one of Mauritania’s main resources, nuggets are fairly rare because almost all the gold is melted into bars that are then sent to Dubai.
All photos are taken in natural daylight.
I photographed these nuggets as honestly and precisely as possible using daylight.
Please note that differences in screen settings and ambient lighting may cause variations in color, saturation, and tones perceived.
The nugget you will receive is, of course, the one shown in the photos.
Worldwide shipping
I offer fast, secure, discreet shipment in a tamper-proof C5 envelope (162mm x 229mm) by French La Poste registered mail with a tracking number.
I will send you this tracking number via message immediately after shipment
