Description from the seller
Rare Fonovaigia Philips Kendrick produced in 1966 (60 years)
As visible from the photos, the device is in excellent condition and presents only a few small marks on the casing and on the grille.
The silkscreens are perfect and the coloring has not changed despite its age.
Originally the turntable operated on batteries and on mains power, but unfortunately both the batteries used and the original power cord are now difficult to obtain, which is why a modernization and repair intervention was carried out to replace some obsolete electronic components; on this occasion the battery compartment was also used as a housing to store the new integrated power cord for the turntable.
Given its age and despite these improvements, the playback speed is not perfectly aligned with the stated RPMs, therefore during listening the vinyl may play slightly slower.
However, it remains a beautiful collectible item and is sold for this purpose; its aesthetically pleasing form and a very pleasant color combination will surely attract the attention of the curious.
As always it will be carefully packed and the shipment will be tracked and insured.
