Description from the seller
This is a reprint (1995, Shinchosha's "Photo Musee" series) of "Nippon Gekijo Shashincho," the memorable debut work of Daido Moriyama, a master of Japanese photography, and a milestone in the history of postwar photography.
Along with an essay by legendary playwright Shuji Terayama, the book unfolds Moriyama's unique world of wild yet lyrical monochrome, known as "are, bure, boke." The end of the book also includes an afterword by Daido Moriyama himself, making it a highly valuable resource.
