Description from the seller
Set of 5 glazed ceramic coffee cups with coordinated saucers, decorated with refined gold details and figurative scenes of English hunting (fox hunting), a very distinctive vintage motif highly appreciated by collectors. The pastel colors of the saucers (pink, magenta, red, sage green, ochre yellow) pair with the gold finishes to create an elegant and scenographic effect.
Overall condition is good: the glaze is glossy and the decorations are well preserved, with a single notable defect being a slight chip at the foot of the magenta cup (does not affect stability or use).
The depicted hunting scene is typical of decorations inspired by British tradition.
Estimated era: about the 1940s, in line with decorative tea/coffee sets produced in China during that period.
Material: glazed ceramic with gold decorations.
Origin: Likely Asian production (Hong Kong), made for the European market, with British-style “fox hunting” decoration.
Approximate dimensions: cup height 6.5–7 cm, saucer diameter 12–13 cm.
Colors: pastel pink, magenta, red, sage green, ochre yellow, with gold details.
A decorative service with a strong visual impact, ideal for collectors of antique ceramics or for those who want to add an elegant and original touch to their table or display.
