Wooden door from the Dogon people of Mali, West Africa.
Door of a granary.
Consists of two panels, connected to each other with iron.
Handicraft, featuring characteristic Dogon ancestral human figures, male and female, and a crocodile, and Dogon Kanaga masks.
Includes a sliding bolt, attached to the door with iron clamps, also depicting a crocodile.
Height 66 cm, width 35 cm, thickness 4 cm, measured at the bolt.
Weighs 3.7 kg.
