Official Vatican pontifical bronze medal, produced by the Vatican Mint for the Extraordinary Jubilee of the Redemption (1933–1934) during Pope Pius XI's pontificate; 7 × 7 × 0.5 cm, 150 g, in good used condition with minor signs of age and stains.

An official Vatican pontifical medal produced by the Vatican Mint on the occasion of the Extraordinary Jubilee of the Redemption, 1933–1934, during the pontificate of Pope Pius XI. Made of bronze.
On one side you can observe the papal coat of arms of Pius XI; two angels hold it; the Basilica of Saint John Lateran.
On the other side you can instead observe Christ the Redeemer among the clouds; the panorama of the holy city (Jerusalem, symbolic/ideal Christian city); the reference to the Jubilee of the Redemption.
In 1933–1934 Pius XI proclaimed the Extraordinary Jubilee of the Redemption (to celebrate the 1900th anniversary of the death of Christ).
