"In perfect condition, the 2005 first edition. A must-have for any collector of the great photographer Trent Parke. Careful packaging guaranteed
Trent Parke was born in 1971 and grew up in Newcastle, New South Wales. Using his mother's Pentax Spotmatic and the family laundry as a darkroom, he began photographing around the age of 12. He began his career as a press photojournalist and, in 2007, became the first Australian to become a full member of Magnum Photos.
Parke is one of the most innovative photographers of his generation. He is known for his poetic photographs, often tinged with dark humor, that offer an emotional and psychological portrait of his homeland, Australia, from the southern Outback to its bustling beaches. While rooted in documentary work, his pieces sit between fiction and reality, exploring the themes of identity, place, and family life.
For two years, Trent Parke photographed Australia. This is not traditional reportage but a true artistic gaze on his homeland from the photographer; black-and-white photos.
