Oliver Mosset's Arbeiten/Works 1966 - 2003 is a hardcover, 144-page edition published in 2003 by Editions 5 Continents, in German and English, with original language German, and is in like-new condition and still in its original packaging.
Description from the seller
Olivier Mosset (born 1944 in Bern, lives in Tucson, Arizona) has since the mid-1960s been counted among the most radical proponents of a contemporary painting that undermines the ideal of artistic originality through objectivity and seriality. Starting from the question of what painting is and how it works, he has created a diverse oeuvre of monochrome and abstract-geometric works that resists any mystifying attribution of meaning.
This book brings together some of the most ambitious and significant works by Olivier Mosset from the years 1966 to 2003 and is a catalog for the retrospective organized by the Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts in Lausanne and the Kunstmuseum St. Gallen in Switzerland. On display are Mosset's large monochromes, his early "circle" paintings, shaped canvases, repetitive abstract compositions, and collaborations. Also included is an interview with the artist.
