Ferrari ACTIVITIES RACING is a 2011 commemorative edition book published by Ferrari SpA, bilingual Italian/English, 430 pages, large format 33 x 24.5 cm, weighing about 3 kg, in very good condition.
Description from the seller
Official Ferrari Racing Activities Yearbook 2011 (publication No. 4188/11), published directly by Ferrari SpA.
It is a prestigious and detailed volume (about 432 pages, large format 33x24.5 cm, weight almost 3 kg) that documents all the racing activities of the prancing horse in 2011, with bilingual Italian/English text.
On the cover is the photo of Luca Cordero di Montezemolo smiling and with an abundance of numbers (108, 450, 95, 301, 20, 343, 421, 13, 143, 134, 1431, 3134, etc.) scattered in an artistic way; it is typical of Ferrari’s style in those years for these yearbooks: the numbers often represent cumulative statistics, podiums, poles, fast laps, wins or other historical data of the season or Ferrari’s history up to that moment, arranged graphically to create a strong visual effect.
What the volume mainly contains (Ferrari racing activities 2011)
Formula 1 — the 2011 World Championship season with the Ferrari F150° Italia (later renamed 150° Italia to celebrate 150 years of Italian Unification).
Detailed results: Alonso won only the Silverstone Grand Prix, but was very consistent (9 other podiums), finishing 4th in the World Championship. Many pages dedicated to the car, drivers (Alonso + Massa), technical analyses, race-by-race statistics.
Ferrari Challenge (Pirelli Trophy and Pirelli AM Trophy) — the one-make series with the 458 Italia (the first season of the 458 Challenge).
GT Programs and one-make — including Pirelli Challenge, Shell Historic Challenge (historic cars), and results in GT championships such as FIA GT.
Client Racing / F1 Client Racing — activities with the old Formula 1 single-seaters driven by wealthy clients (F1 Clienti programme).
XX Programme (FXX, later evolved with 599XX, etc.) — the exclusive track-only hypercar program, with track days and tests.
The book is rich in spectacular photos (on track, in the pit, technical details), complete classifications, statistics, comments and often also behind-the-scenes or interviews.
In short: it is the “official diary” of everything Ferrari did on the track in 2011, not only F1 but the entire spectrum of its sporting activities (professional, one-make and for private clients). A highly sought-after piece of Cavallino history!
