Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Bell & Howell 70DR Cinepresa is a mechanically driven 16mm reform with a brown metal violin‑shaped body, a three‑mount C‑mount turret, frame rates from 8 to 64 fps, powered by a mainspring and fed with 100‑ft reels, accompanied by its original brown leather rigid case and described as testable and functioning.
Description from the seller
this is a splendid Bell & Howell Filmo 70-DR movie camera, one of the most rugged and famous 16mm spring-driven models ever built, used for decades even by war cinematographers.
The dark-bronze metal body, with the classic “violin” design, mounts the three‑mount C‑mount rotating turret (here without lenses) and the large side‑mounted frame‑per‑second selector, with speeds from about 8 to 64 fps. The camera is fully mechanical, powered by a powerful spring motor wound via the side crank, and uses 16mm film in 100‑foot magazines.
The specimen in the photo comes with its original rigid brown leather case, an important detail for collectors. The chrome plating appears to be in good condition and the painted finish shows only normal signs of wear, consistent with the age of the instrument.
