• The Objective: This is the centerpiece of the camera. The Leica Summarit 40mm f/2.4 lens is known as one of the sharpest lenses ever mounted in a compact camera. The image quality hardly lags behind the much more expensive Leica M lenses.

• Build quality: The housing is made from a sturdy titanium alloy. It therefore feels considerably heavier and sturdier than the average plastic 'point-and-shoot' from that era.

• Operation: You can use it entirely in automatic mode, but you also have the freedom to manually set the aperture via the dial on top.
