Description from the seller
Louis XVI style furniture, lacquered and hand-painted – Florence, late 19th / early 20th century
Elegant Louis XVI style piece, crafted in Florence between the late 19th and early 20th century, characterized by refined polychrome lacquering and rich hand-painted decorative artwork.
The piece consists of a base with two wide drawers and a raised section with two glazed doors with small panes, which give the whole a great visual lightness. The surfaces are adorned with delicate floral motifs, garlands, and a large central painted vase, typical of neoclassical taste and the Tuscan decorative tradition.
The legs are slim and fluted, with a slender, elegant line, while the upper cornice is enriched with carved gilded mouldings. The interior of the raised section is lined with striped fabric, an original element that adds further value and refinement to the piece.
Overall, this is a decorative furnishing with great charm, ideal as a display cabinet, secretaire or entrance cabinet, perfect for classic, shabby chic, or eclectic interiors.
