Gustave Serrurier-Bovy Arts & Crafts pendulum clock in brass and wood, dating to 1900–1910, with mechanical movement, 8-day power reserve, strikes every half hour with a gong, measurements 34.6 × 19.5 × 11.1 cm and weight 2680 g, complete with original pendulum and winding key, in good used condition.

Gustave Serrurier-Bovy pendulum clock Art Nouveau 1902
This beautiful Arts & Crafts Gustave Serrurier-Bovy pendulum/table clock made of brass and wood is the epitome of refined elegance. With clean lines and a sleek design, this clock is a wonderful desk object that fits effortlessly into any interior.
Serrurier-Bovy, a Belgian architect and furniture designer, was born in Liège in 1858 and died in 1910. In 1884 he visited London, where he became interested in the Arts and Crafts movement. He returned to Belgium and brought several concepts of the new movement into practice in his creations, which he sold in his shop in Liège.
Several pieces of his furniture can be seen in the art nouveau section of the Musée d'Orsay in Paris, together with those of his Belgian art nouveau architect colleagues.
This clock is made of high-quality brass and wood and is not only beautiful but also very durable. It has a unique pendulum design that adds an interesting element to the already charming appearance.
