Two bronze patinated coupelles signed LE VERRIER (Max) from France, attributed to Max le Verrier and dating to 1920–1940, each a small decorative dish with one depicting a dragon and the other Poseidon, with about 10.5 cm diameter and 1.5 cm height for the shown piece, in excellent condition with minor signs of wear.
Description from the seller
Two patinated bronze bowls or document pockets signed LE VERRIER (Max), (1891-1973)
1- Representing a dragon decorating a krater (an flaring cup used to offer libations to the gods) from the treasure of the Miklós convent at Nagy-Szent (Hungary).
Height 1.8 cm and diameter 10 cm.
2- Representing Poseidon naked standing to the right, the chlamydos laid over his back and arms, brandishing a trident.
Height: 1.5 cm diameter: 10.5 cm
For collector or decoration.
Good condition, perhaps needing cleaning; note a very slight deformation on the right edge of cup No. 1; the photos are part of the description.
