Bruno Munari for Danese, Sicilia model steel wastebasket, Italy, circa 1970–1990, 35 cm high, 25 cm wide, 25 cm deep, in mint condition (never used).
Description from the seller
Munari Bruno (Milan, 1907-1998) - Wastepaper basket. Sicily 2010 C - Original project 1959 - vintage production but never used - condition as good as new - Interiors and exteriors still covered by protective adhesive film - Excellent condition - Brand at the bottom -
Initially and until 1971 made of pressboard (pressed cardboard) with a flip-down bottom that allows the basket to be fully flattened, according to the principle of minimal footprint adopted by Munari in many of his projects.
From 1968 made in black or green anodized aluminum and in stainless steel
From 1976 produced exclusively in stainless steel Dimensions: cm 25x35h.
Honorable Mention at the Compasso d'Oro, 1960, for the pressed board version.
The photographs reproduce the item in the auction except the photo of the basket without film.
Used vintage item in excellent condition with possible minimal signs of time and use as shown in photographs - The photographs are an integral part of the description.
