Beautiful pair of wood wall appliques with gold leaf dated 1920, Venice, as per attached certificate. High craftsmanship Venetian objects from the 1920s, a period in which the production of luxury furnishings skillfully revived the 18th-century styles (Venetian Rococo). In the 1920s in Venice there were workshops that still used 18th-century techniques. The deep carvings and the acanthus leaf details, with their sharp definition, make the pair particularly exquisite.
