Description from the seller

Antique German Masse figures – Imperial infantry in marching formation – ca. 1900–1925 (10 pieces)

Very fine and original set of antique German miniature soldiers, produced as Imperial (Prussian) infantry in marching formation. These figures are made from so-called composite material (Masse), a light material that around the early 20th century was widely used for quality toys and dioramas.

The soldiers wear the characteristic German Imperial uniform with Pickelhaube, and are individually hand-painted. The natural wear and aging of the paint confirm the authenticity and age of the set.

• Material: Composite / Masse (no lead)
• Origin: Germany
• Period: circa 1895–1925
• Height: approx. 6–7 cm per figure
