Kufic Ring – Jerusalem Tradition, a Bronze-based inscribed ring of Islamic culture from the Early Islamic–Medieval period with worn Kufic script and measurements of 21.7 mm in height, 22.56 mm outer diameter, 18.9 mm inner diameter and 6.52 g in weight.
Description from the seller
A piece of the past, made to be worn
Rare Early Islamic Kufic Ring – Jerusalem Tradition
Description
The script, particularly in its worn Kufic forms, angular and abbreviated strokes, and compact composition, shows close stylistic parallels with the epigraphic tradition observed on small metal seals and rings dated to the Early Islamic–Medieval period in Jerusalem and its surrounding region. Such examples reflect a practice associated with Jerusalem’s religious and administrative role, in which concise, dense, and symbolically charged Arabic inscriptions were commonly preferred
Object Type: Inscribed metal ring
Period: Early Islamic – Medieval (stylistic assessment)
Material: Copper-based alloy metal (high probability of bronze)
Inscription: Worn Arabic inscription in Kufic character
Dimensions:
Height: 21.7 mm
Outer Diameter: 22.56 mm
Inner Diameter: 18.9 mm
Weight: 6.52 g

Throughout the presentation and sales process, principles of scholarly consistency, transparency, and good faith are observed, and no object is knowingly offered as a copy or imitation.
