Martin Kippenberger exhibition catalog, titled “Martin Kippenberger”, published in 1990 by Villa Arson, Nice, 1st edition, with 60 pages and a soft cover, in the original French and German texts, featuring the bilingual author texts by A.R. Penck and Christian Bernard, a scarce and out‑of‑print item with lamination peeling about 1 cm on the back.
Description from the seller
Text by A.R. Penck & Christian Bernard.
Very scarce & out-of-print catalog!
Very good condition. Please note that the lamination is slightly peeling on the back over about 1 cm (see last photo).
Exhibition catalog published in 1990 for his Kippenberger’s exhibition at Villa Arson February 2 to 25. Christopher Wool created the exhibition poster for the exhibition.
Kippenberger’s refusal to adopt a specific style and medium in which to disseminate his images resulted in an extremely prolific and varied oeuvre which includes an amalgam of sculpture, paintings, works on paper, photographs, installations, prints and ephemera.
In 1990, while sojourning in New York City, Kippenberger started a body of work collectively known as the Latex or Rubber paintings. Also in the 1990s, influenced by the Lost Art Movement, Kippenberger had the idea of an underground network encircling the whole world.
Fast shipping and very careful (cardboard and bubble wrap, books corners very well packed.)
