Artwork by the artist Ochoa created in oil on high-quality professional canvas. Dimensions of 50 x 70 cm for the painting. Original edition. Shipping will be carried out through United Parcel Service (UPS) for Spain and Europe, and through FedEx for the rest of the world. The artwork will be rolled and protected with several layers of packaging, bubble wrap, and placed in a sturdy tube. Once the artwork is paid for, three days are required for the packing process and delivery to the shipping company. The piece will arrive within ten days, depending on the destination country.
This painting is placed within a contemporary style with strong influences from figurative expressionism, where the power of color prevails over meticulous detail. The technique employs a gestural and material brushstroke, probably oil, which gives a palpable texture and extraordinary visual dynamism. The bold use of the palette, contrasting warm skin tones with cobalt blue of the turban and the vibrant red background, creates a chromatic tension that captivates instantly. Through this work, the artist seeks to convey a sense of unwavering dignity and empowerment; the direct gaze and the golden ornamentation not only celebrate Afrocentric aesthetics but elevate the figure to almost a deity or queen, turning the portrait into a symbol of cultural resilience and identitarian pride.
