Unique solid silver Gustav Hauber brooch dating from ca. 1928–1940, set with salmon coral and framed by circles, weighing 6.91 g with a 25 mm diameter and 835 silver fineness Master mark G Hauber, in very good condition.

Unique solid silver brooch by Gustave Hauber, set with salmon-pink coral surrounded by circles, from his renowned jewelry atelier in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany.
The brooch is made around 1928-40 by one of his skilled creative goldsmiths.. (Bauhaus - Machine Age)
Dimensions: 25 mm Diameter.
Tested: 835 silver content and Master mark of G Hauber.
Weight: 6.91 grams

GUSTAVE HAUBER - Schwäbisch Gmünd - Germany.
The company was originally founded in 1870 by Gustav Hauber as a silverware and necklace factory in Schwäbisch Gmünd.
Later artistic cast necklaces, watch chains, hunting jewelry, châtelaines, bag pendants, rings, brooches and bracelets were produced.
In 1905 Gustav's son Friedrich Hauber took over the company; in August 1929 Berta Rohrmuss.
The company is currently led by Axel and Heike Rohrmuss.
Their jewelry is of high quality and very collectible!
Bauhaus ideas and designs were quickly adopted by silversmiths in the region from around 1928.
Convincing modernist jewelry in the style of the "New Objectivity" emerged, showing a complete departure from classical jewelry and produced until the end of the 1940s.
The jewelry was defined by geometric shapes such as spheres, circles, cones, squares, loops, and spirals; a fine example is this Hauber brooch from that period!
