Magnificent and massive fossil ammonite identified as Perisphinctes sp., originating from Madagascar and dating to the Jurassic period.
This exceptional specimen displays the classic ribbed spiral morphology characteristic of the genus, with beautifully defined whorls and strong radial ribbing extending across the entire shell. The internal spiral structure is clearly visible and well preserved, creating remarkable depth and three-dimensional impact.
Weighing an impressive 19.3 kg, this ammonite stands out for its substantial size and powerful visual presence.
