Description from the seller

In 1957 the photographer Ed van der Elsken stays for three months in French Equatorial Africa at the invitation of his brother-in-law Milou Leynaud. Milou is an ethnologist and district head in the Oubanqui Chari area. The book shows life in the remote villages. Remarkably, van der Elsken makes use of flash photography. The second part deals with safaris and hunting.

The small text booklet that was included as an appendix is missing.

The book looks used, but is exceptionally beautiful.

Color and black-and-white photographs.
