A characterful earthenware figurine of the young Christ the King, depicted in a classic pose with the world globe in his hand and the blessing left hand. The face is finely sculpted and surrounded by an expressive halo, while the craquelure in the glaze gives a nicely aged appearance. The colors are typical of Flemish earthenware.

Height 19 cm, in good condition with light signs of aging and natural craquelure in the glaze. Signed A. Noseda, one of the pioneers of Torhout Flemish earthenware, who founded his own workshop in 1914 and was especially active between the two world wars.
