Description from the seller
Vintage wooden cabinet from the late interwar / early postwar period, presumably dating from the 1940s. The piece is finished in wood veneer, with a warm grain that strongly resembles walnut veneer, a material that was widely used in this period for compact cabinets and bedside tables.
The design is sober and functional, with softly rounded lines and balanced symmetry. This type of furniture fits the transitional design between Art Deco and early postwar modernism, without pronounced decorative elements but with attention to proportion and ease of use. The original metal handles underscore the authentic character.
The piece is in good vintage condition, with light signs of wear appropriate to its age and use. The glass protective plate that originally sat on top is no longer present. This does not affect stability or use, but is correctly noted.
Dimensions:
Width: 56 cm
Depth: 34 cm
Height: 50 cm
Material: wood veneer, presumably walnut
Period: ca. 1940s
Origin: presumably Western Europe
Condition:
Good vintage condition with light signs of use. Structure is solid, doors and drawer operate correctly. The glass top plate above is missing.
A characterful and honest vintage piece with a timeless look, suitable as a bedside cabinet, side cabinet or compact storage piece in both classic and modern interiors.
