Description from the seller
A set of 12 antique silver-plated forks from the famous Belgian silversmith Bruno Wiskemann. This is silver-plated cutlery.
The forks have a classic design with a decorated handle and three tines, often used as dessert, cake, or oyster forks
The set is presented in the original box with the characteristic diamond-shaped stamp of Bruno Wiskemann on the inside of the lid.
The hallmark shows the initials "BW" (Bruno Wiskemann) with a small symbol between them, often a diamond or a scale. This is the manufacturer's official master mark.
Bottom stamp: Here the number "6" appears. For silver-plated objects by Wiskemann (and other manufacturers) this number indicates the amount of silver used for the silvering of a specific set.
Given the specific stamps (BW and a number for the silver layer) this is high-quality silver-plated metal.
Bruno Wiskemann was a renowned Belgian manufacturer specializing in high-quality silver-plated and solid silver tableware, active in the 20th century. The company was known for its craftsmanship and elegant designs, ranging from Art Nouveau to Art Deco styles.
