The warm red field is traversed by a finely worked, repeating Mir pattern that lends the rug a uniform, calm surface effect. The ornamental structure is strictly symmetrical and, especially in large format, provides an elegant, representative presence.

The multi-foil border is richly decorated and features stylized floral motifs on a light ground, bordered by narrower secondary borders in dark blue and rose. The broad red outer stripe gives the rug a clear contour.
