Description from the seller
Vintage tin coffee grinder in PPP (Pietro Paolo Porini) - Italy - 1940s/1950s
Fascinating manual coffee grinder produced by the historic Italian company PPP (Pietro Paolo Porini) of Omegna, active since the mid-19th century.
The model, made in brown-painted tin, features the typical cube-like structure with a domed, radial fan-shaped top and the producer's distinctive logo embossed on the front and bottom.
Mechanics: Excellent functional condition. The crank handle and the internal steel burrs turn freely and without hitch, a sign of a well-preserved mechanism.
Aesthetics: The piece shows a beautiful, authentic patina of age, with widespread and evocative surface oxidation that enhances its industrial and rustic character. The original paint shows the classic signs of aging (flake).
Structural notes: The metal strips of the upper hinge are missing; the two parts (body and lid) are separated but fit together perfectly, preserving the original aesthetic.
Dimensions: 9 x 9 cm (base) x 16 cm (total height).
