AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Rare 4-light chandelier, handmade entirely by a Murano master glassmaker, a true classic of Murano glass from the mid-1900s.

All pieces are similar, but not identical, due to the entirely artisanal craftsmanship.
Bright and luminous in the different lighting conditions, see all the photos. It lit the entrance of an apartment in Venice, now under restoration. The previous owner recalls that they were purchased at Fornace a Murano, but given the era the purchase documents were not preserved.

Transparent glass, with non-serial work (see the curling of the leaves)
Complete and in good condition.
Dating: approx. 1950/1960.

It has 4 arms with cups pointing upward, and on each arm a garland is hanging. 4 low leaves between them; 4 tall leaves at the center.

Width: 55 cm. Height: about 70 cm. Equipped with a beautiful wrought-iron hook typical of Venetian chandeliers of that era. 8 with the hook the height becomes about 80 cm.
A classic Murano chandelier, bright and particularly suitable for a classic interior, but also modern for its beautiful and elegant transparent glass.
Electrical system functional. Sockets for E14 bulbs. Note the handsome period light holders in brass and ceramic.

It will be shipped disassembled, with assembly instructions for safer transport.

Shipping only to continental EU countries, excluding the islands.

Seller's Story

I mainly collect Murano chandeliers thanks to the collaboration with some companies that restore apartments and palaces in Venice. In this way, over time, I have recovered the chandeliers of elegant and often ancient houses in the lagoon and in the nearby areas. Murano glass has an incomparable charm: every piece, even the simplest, has a story hidden in its fragility and its iridescent light.
