A beautiful collector's set consisting of 41 authentic wrought-iron pieces, displaying a remarkable variety of bows and styles. The collection is kept in a beautiful natural dark patina.

Three major pieces stand out:
• Master key "Double" (18th century): A rare model with two opposite bows and a central heart-shaped handle. An exceptional curiosity piece.
• Louis XV ceremonial key: A polygonal ring and a baluster shaft, intended for prestige furniture or a noble residence.
• Signed property key (17th/18th century): Sturdy model bearing an era-engraved cross on the shank, workshop or inspection mark.

Lot description:
The remainder of the collection (38 pieces) offers a wide variety of rings/bows and cutouts, ranging from mortised furniture keys to large passage-door keys. A complete panorama of antique locksmithing, ideal for a cabinet of curiosities.

Length ranges from 14.5 cm for the largest to 6 cm for the smallest.
